EASTER TEA

Decided upon an Easter tea for my family, so I've been busy baking and decorating, inspired by Country Living April i had a go at these.

Salty Caramels

Simnel Cake

well I'm not the best cook in the world as i can never be bothered to weigh the ingredients and if i don't have something i use something else!

This is my caramel bubbling away, but i don't have a thermometer to test when its reached 'hard ball' 250 degrees f, so i just guessed! it resulted in this,

Looks good, it is cooling and i shall be slicing it and wrapping in the morning, i used all the wrong sugar but ahhh!

the simnel cake is cooking but that is looking a bit wrong!! ill take pictures of it decorated........the marzipan looks fine though!

I feel quite proud!

OOH NEW THINGS

Manage to add a few things to my shop, its a bit tricky and taking me a looooong time with only two fingers

good news first!

New camera yeah!!!!!

New chair................NOT YEAH!!!

i grabbed on to the sides of the seat to get up.... and it collapsed trapping my fingers!!! they were stuck for 5 mins before someone was able to help me. its the worst pain i have ever had!(3 kids no prob!)

i was lucky that they are not broken, i have crushed the tendons, 3 fingers on the right, two on the left, i am able to do things with my thumb and forefinger on both hands. i have damaged the nerves on both my middle fingers, they have no feeling yet!

i feel so silly, i cant do much,and its very frustrating, its made me realise how lucky i am to be able to make things and knit.

every ones gone potty about them, i have two old ones my grandma made they must be over 50 years old! i wish i could take a photo of them! ive been making some too! i like to crochet them whilst watching tv, ive perfected the art of not having to look at what im crocheting, but only if its simple stitch!

I AM NOT A HAPPY BUNNY!

Ive made lots of things to add to my etsy shop, rabbits, bears, corsages and various other bit sand bobs, i was very busy and on a roll.

DISASTER STRIKES

My 'wonderful' daughter borrowed my fairly new and beloved digital camera and..........................

IT IS DEAD!

no power at all, its just gone past its year warranty!

Im trying my best not to swear(**'##)

now to top off a bad week i have a very sore throat and feel very shitty indeed, im just longing for summer wear i can go and sit here once again.

and make more of these....
